Knowing all about Chateau Lartigue-Cèdres

  • Bordeaux rouge & Bordeaux Clairet
    Under the Bordeaux classification, we produce several wines : red, white Sauvignon, Clairet, rosé & Cremant rosé.


    Origins of the name :
    Lartigue : this word meant stubble-burned field which has become the name of the local area. It is very popular surname in the Landes.
    Cèdres : the chateau is bordered with blue cedars of Lebanon

  • Annual volume : 200,000 bottles from 28 hectares of land. Each vine plant produces approximately 2 bottles of wine Bordeaux Label of Controlled Origin (AOC), Red and Clairet.

  • Only one type of white grape : Sauvignon.


  • Responsable farming –for the long term. No official label but real commitment.

  • The soil is chalky and clay-limestone.

  • 2 red cepages : there is some 70 pct merlot and 30 pct cabernet franc.

  • The bottles are packed in boxes of 12 (lying flat).



  • " Electrodyalisis" : electrical treatment used for red wine to gently remove tartar. Thus there is little  or no sediment found in the bottles.
